

The Andean Migrant Coordinator, a non-profit social organization, with legal status under private law, granted by the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion MIES on July 26, 2006, whose main objective is to promote programs or projects of comprehensive social development with the collaboration of different local and national organizations and government technical cooperation organizations to care for the families of migrants and immigrants.
Our actions are based on solidarity and the search for equal opportunities for people, regardless of their race, religion, origin or ideology. We consider ourselves part of Ecuadorian civil society and we collaborate with various social movements in the promotion of human and sustainable development that is based on the recognition of the plurinational and multiethnic character.

PURPOSE OF THE ANDEAN MIGRANT COORDINATOR.-

Create a meeting space for immigrants, which allows us to promote analysis, reflection and proposals regarding the migration phenomenon, to act as interlocutors between immigrants and government bodies, different public and private institutions, associations, NGOs. ´s, or civil society.

Carry out activities and programs (exhibitions, screenings, conferences, publications, intercultural activities), in order to promote the work of integration, information, awareness, sensitization and rapprochement of the native and immigrant population.

Execute micro business projects and social action, for the benefit of vulnerable groups, thus favoring children, seniors, people with disabilities, young people, women, families and the most needy people within the framework of migration and its effects.

Provide information, technical advice and monitoring, for the implementation of projects aimed at migrants and their families, both in Ecuador and in their destination countries. This information also allows actions to be carried out within reception, integration, cooperation and co-development programs, while opening up an important space of basic and useful documentation for the development of projects, research, doctoral studies, study internships or study practices in various national and international academic entities.

Periodically inform partners, collaborators, and public or private institutions about the development of different projects, grants, subsidies, activities through publications, meetings, videos, web pages, blogs and other communication tools.
